@lawrenced am I right in thinking you have a garmin? If so, do you use Strava?
-
• #1233
I've been mulling over whether to get one but mainly for the mapping.
General consensus is 500 is good with HRM, otherwise gor for 810 or an Edge Touring for all the bells and whistle. Check the Garmin thread out. Obsessive amounts of knowledge and handwringing there over which to buy. -

You are Froome Dog AICMFP

I miss multi quote :(
-
• #1236
Bought a 200 today to see what I think to it - theory being that if I get on well with it I'll bite the bullet and buy one of the more feature filled ones, not fussed about the maps personally just want a distance and speed logger that can record routes I do
-
• #1237
you can multi quote
just add more >>>>>>
And also are you still going for Archetypes?
-
• #1238
I meant multi person quote which I guess I could do but putting more >>>>> in but without names it gets a bit confusing. #vBulletinnostalgia
Have just been thinking about new wheels again (blame Chris). Just one of the things on the large list that needs sorting although I have been lusting over Innov8 footwear for the winter which doesn't help.
-
• #1239
Ohh my bad, yeah not sure how to do that. So what are your options wheel wise? Also, would you ever consider selling the charge?

The Genesis spacing at the back is 130OLN and I ideally want a flip flop hub but the general AQA thread consensus is that I'll either need a Surly hub (a bit fugly) or use a mtb disc hub with the chance that the chain line isn't that good.
As for the Plug; are you making me an offer? :)

Sorry only just spotted this! Yep got a garmin edge 200, most basic one they do I think but it does all the things I need it to.
I confess I love strava, you can find me chasing roadies here: http://www.strava.com/athletes/5416826

• #1242
How do you upload it to Strava? I bought one yesterday and can't work that bit out!
-
• #1243
Depends on how much you'd want for it! It's between another fixed gear or a bmx, more swayed by the little bike as it'll be totally different from the Olmo.. But if the price is right
-
• #1244
There might be other ways to do it but I installed the Garmin communicator plugin http://software.garmin.com/en-GB/gcp.html
Then you hit upload on Strava in the top-right, click 'Get Started' under the garmin logo and it should automagically detect the garmin.
-
• #1245
Sorry you have to click 'upload via the communicator plugin' too when the window pops up
-
• #1246
I've always wanted to have a go on a bmx just because I'd look totally ridiculous!
-
• #1247
Nice one, got it sorted cheers!
-
• #1248
