Good to hear you are okay.
@Cazakstan you really rocked some of the jumps - I hope Santa does bring you a BMX for Christmas - you definitely deserve it.
The rest of you didn't do too badly either.
@pootsmanuva thanks so much for organising.

That was so much fun. MOAR BMX.
@lucyh, glad you're ok - I did for a split second think of going for the win when you went down, but when you didn't respond after I screamed 'ARE YOU ALRIGHT' at you, thought I'd better stop ;-)
As expected I have come home to a monstrosity of steel drum and copper piping that is our new incinerator, but as a bonus - a clean kitchen and dinner!
Am so up for regular sessions.
Have stolen the pic from Debbies facebook post - theres more I'll let her post those.

Oh also, remember Alex was saying that they totally rebuilt the track after the Olympics because no normal person could ride it?
Well here's why.

No death! Or stitches!

Hi Lucy, so glad to read you are now ok and not put off doing the next scary/ridiculous bike event!!!
Yeah, I had a lovely time too despite my crashes. My right knee is very sore and I've posted a pic of my war wound on Facebook. Is it wrong/strange/worrying that I'm proud of my wound?
Thanks everyone for making this such a lovely afternoon and thanks to our organiser, Poots.
Until next time.........
PS: No death! Or stitches! < love that. That should be the strapline for the next session we do :0)

Had such a good time on the bmx yesterday after a nervous start and found myself pumping all the way home over the bumps! Thanks Poots for organising!

Last night I actually dreamt of BMX which was cooler that when I tried to clear a speed hump on the way home last night BMX style. Trying to keep your pedals flat and not pedal not the best idea fixed.
No death! No stitches!

Yes to the jersey and yes to a repeat session!!!!
I also flat pedalled and pumped on the way home. This morning was a different matter. I'm so sore and stiff, it was the slowest ride to work in a long time, but I'm still smiling.

I dreamt about BMXing last night too.
No death! No stitches! - like it. Especially as I was stitched after my last lot of BMXing. Happy to be back on the BMX horse.

Really wish now that I had been less timid and convinced that I would destroy everything I took on the bike with me and had teched myself up. Definitely up for it again sometime with a video camera and garmin to record!
So glad to hear that you are recovering well @lucyh

I love this pic - it sorta looks like Lucy has got a cape on where that final berm is behind.
So. Much. Rad.
I've already been pestering Peckham BMX - their adults only sessions are still the last sunday of the month. I think you need to pass one of these sessions to be able to go to their open sessions as it were - it looks like they are a bargainous £6 though, including bike hire! Will keep you updated when they send more deets though.
Have also been looking at the rock up and ride type sessions at Lee Valley - it looks like you get something added to your membership profile to say you've passed a taster session to let you book for the rock up and ride sessions so if you aren't a member at Lee Valley, sign up up now! It's free innit!

Nice to see all you ladies had a great time... I was with the group who turned up half way through your session, quite appalled by the attitude of the LV staff... doubt I will bother giving the place a go.

What happened chris? we had nothing but good vibes all day.
I'm fine now, thank you all and hope I didn't cut everything too short! Special thanks to poppy, ray and thomas for taking me to hosp and laner for getting me a pizza and taking care of me, what a bunch of babes.
I LOVED today and as you can prob tell from my ultra-zealous approach (GO NOW, THINK L8R, YEH SWEET AIR BRO) would be up for it again. Also any other kind of ridiculous ladies outing. Next time I won't knock myself out and make it to the pub after. Thanks for organising poots!!
