• It pains me to sell this, but a injury has left me little choice. This has been my favourite bike of the last few years, no expense has been spared in its build. I’ve been working in the industry for over 10 years, mainly as a suspension tech and more recently wheel building for DT’s UK warranty centre, so you can imagine the love this bike has received.

The frame is made by Ribble, using Reynolds 653 mixed tube set, with Columbus dropouts. It measures 57 cm (centre to centre) seat and top tube. It has simple and elegant lug-work, with beautiful internal cable routing.

The forks are ITM’s Vista, carbon blades and aluminium steerer. They’re a nice shape and much more compliant than their steel predecessors.

The headset is a 1” Chris King sotto voce, in black. So smooth, you know how good these are.

The stem is a 110 mm Thomson X2 (+/- 10 degrees), with a Thomson top cap and 1 1/8” converter.

Bars are Controltech’s Razor Edge, 42 cm carbon, really comfy. With Brooks leather bar tape.

The brakes are Sram carbon single speed levers, paired to Campagnolo Super Record Skeleton callipers (dual pivot front, single rear). I did have Campy levers but they were nowhere near as comfortable as these.

The drivetrain consists of 175 mm Dura Ace 7410 cranks, with a 102 mm Campagnolo record bottom bracket, the carbon one! I fitted a Chorus axle, to maintain the correct chain line, and the Chorus weather seals. The chainring is a 39 tooth stainless steel Surly, the sprocket is a 14 tooth stainless steel Chris King. I will include a 13 tooth Surly sprocket, if you want the equivalent of 48:16. The chain is a Sram 991, which has only done about 60 miles in the dry.

The seat post is a Dura Ace aero and the saddle a titanium Brooks Swift, it was honey but has darkened with the years. The saddle is quite old now and I’d like to keep hold of it, if the bike goes for the right amount I will be happy to fit a new Brooks in the colour of your choice.

The wheels are gorgeous! Mavic Open Pro ceramics both 32 hole, laced with double butted Sapim Race spokes (way better than DT), two cross front, and three cross rear, both symmetrical builds. The front hub is a Chris King R45, and the rear is a Chris King single speed (130 mm), that sounds amazing. The hubs are less than a year old, and I am happy to honour the warranty for you. Tyres are Michelin’s Pro4 in 23, and have proved pleasingly grippy all year. The wheels are perfectly true and tensioned. The rims have had nearly five years use, there is a strip of wear on the rear non-drive side, caused frustratingly by a combination of a broken mudguard and headphones…

Pedals aren't included, although a set of black Race Blade mudguards will also be included.

I'd like £850, I know it'd be easier to split, but really don't want to.

I am currently based in Brighton, but often travel between Bristol and London, so delivery could be arranged. Please feel free to contact me for more information or pictures.
