31.8mm Pursuit Bar Brake Slip

Hey Guys,

I bought some 31.8 mm Pursuit bars from Brick Lane Bikes the other day, I also got a 31.8mm brake lever. The problem I'm having is that due to the bars being tapered the brake lever keeps slipping off. Has anyone else had this issue?

I want to keep my lever as close to the stem as possible as it make it far more comfortable to ride

Has anyone got any suggestions?

This sounds like there isn't room for the brake clamp on the bars, if there is though, electrical tape and adequate(-not overtightened) torque will hold it in place.

Hefty

I haz those bars (only silver OS pursuit bars with a bit of drop that I could find) and had to go with a bar end lever, there just isn't the room for a cross top before they start tapering away.
