on one pompetamine with nature boy (or similar) forks?
-
• #2303
yeah that might be one way - but the on one is more on the cheap side - he can spend up to 700 on the frame
-
• #2304
He could spend that money on bomb wheels?
-
• #2306
That's an interesting one, keep it coming!

The surly straggler.

^ nice as well, but the geo looks more slack somehow, compared to all city natural boy disc and rapture cx?
something's different, can't tell what

• #2309
I find Surly geo really odd

Any reason for not running a bb30 pf30 crossframe with eccentric bb to deal with chain tension?
-
• #2312
Why use workarounds when you can buy a perfect frame and get everything right from scratch?

What's the scope for a hybrid frame with drops?
-
• #2314
Because EBB is better than horizontal dropouts when dealing with discs.

Can't help but feel that spending top dorrah on an otp steel cx frame is a bit odd.
-
• #2316
Although BB30 and PF30 isn't very common when dealing with steel.

• #2317
Otp steel, yah.

Tonic magnum would be rad but a bit out of the price range.

I had a raz on this earlier today. It's a parts-bin build but I'd like to get it sorted for the local races.
It features 38x18 which is nice now (but I think too stiff for the mud) and ghetto-sealed cabling from the hive-mind that is the Current Projects thread (thanks @Murphys_Law).

Minimalism incarnate.

Looks rad. Closeup of the ghetto-sealing?
ADVICE PLEASE
Need some advice as I am helping a friend to find the right bike/frame:
Only one that ticks all the boxes so far is the All-City Natural Boy Disc, but that seems to be sold out everywhere.
Any other ideas?
