Barry Chick 531 Special Lightweight 57tt ctc Frame,BB,H/set

Reluctant sale of this Barry Chick road frame in pearl turquoise. 57cm top tube ctc.
Only selling as just acquired a Bill Nickson which I will be keeping and refinishing over winter and space is somewhat limited.
In good condition with some chips (a few on the decals) etc but no dents etc. It was owned by a Spanish racing cyclist and very well maintained.
Complete with C Record era Chorus Bottom Bracket, Athena Headset (some marks on top parts - replacement for original Chorus), Rear drop out adjusters and Campagnolo seatbolt.
Light frame which seemed to go faster than other steel bikes I've ridden - really nice to ride.
Barry is best known for the frames he made for Shorter and this has a Shorter decal (on outside of lacquer). Chick frames can still be purchased new (at about £2000 !!) but I don't htink Barry makes them himself anymore.
An unusual and beautiful frame with superb detailing (gold detailing on cut outs , forks etc) and nice pantographing.
I also have some wheels, Chorus front mech, bars etc etc which could be purchased with frame.

Barry is still doing frames but shorter rochford cycles don't get involved with steel frames anymore

Just for the record the above frame is one of 5 that where made in this colour so quite a rare item there were also 5 of the same frame that where a candy red finish all came with the headset fitted as seen above. Glws

A club mate asked Barry to build him a frame a few weeks ago, he said no.
