    PM'd :)

  • brucy where is that derelict place with arches and the water looks great!
love the grave yard shots also

  • Water world is cliffe fort.

  • Ill post a couple more later.

  • I went this time last year, was beautiful. Can be pretty cloudy/foggy when you go up high so make sure you get a good disp with a setting like that.
Also get an underwater camera, the sea water is clear as fuck.
Things are pretty expensive there tho as it's shipped/flown, so maybe buy here, also didn't really see many when I was there.
Beautiful scenery, you are going to get some great shots. Where you off? I did most of East side.

  • Cool, getting excited. Hoping there'll be slightly less people there than peak times.

Underwater cam, that's a good shout. We're picking a car up from Olbia airport when we arrive and have it for the full 8 days so will be driving everywhere. Quite keen on seeing a few of the gorges and mountainous areas as well as the ocean. So starting briefly in the north east, then driving south then across west :)

Last time I shot with film, out of 36 exposures only about 8 were worth keeping but it was so much better than downloading and doing post on 200+ digi files.

  • yes good shout for car, it's the only way. (sorry, LFGSS)
it's digital but this is the cloud cover you could be dealing with in the hills http://tinyurl.com/la474vt which might actually make for good moody shots

  • @Brucy you repair and service cameras you say? My Hexar needs some work... something you'd consider?

  • Are you a thief?
You could borrow one of mine if not.

  • Here is a snap of mine from last week, also in Sardinia.

please get a Nikon L35AW, the underwater-brother of the L35AF,
and then tell me it's so good that I should get one too despite the fact I do fuck all underwater shooting!

  • Love the 90's viewfinder on mine ^ wish it worked properly

Picked up a Mamiya 645 for £89 yesterday, anyone using one?

  • Used one for years, and loved it.
At the moment I don't do medium format any more, and don't plan to do so.
Hope you have fun! £89 is a good deal (which one is it?)

  • The original, M645. Yeah, I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't that cheap. Never shot 6x4.5 though, just need to get some film.

    Results look decent online

  • What lens?

  • 80mm

  • @macready Good find for 90 quid! I'm just waiting to get my first rolls back that I shot with my pentax 645

  • Oh nice, the only annoying thing will be the wlf and trying to take portraits.

Bought a nice gossen meter the day before too. I do a load of walking so hoping it will be lightweight enough

  • ^cant wait to see your shots with it.

My gr1 have up the ghost last night, fell victim to the dead shutter :/

  • Gutting. Seems like they are getting to the end of their collective lives, every post seems to be a problem with them.

    You got another camera?

  • Film type in hindsight was a bad choice but alas I kind of made it work.

  • @Brucy have pm'd ya... also whats the name/location of that ruins place? looks amazing...

  • Just got a Fuji Pro 400H back from dev, and now I remember why I haven't used this film in months.
Apparently I / Silverfast is not able to scan it well.
Colours hardly ever look "right", and midtones are dull / too dark.
God how I hate fiddling in Silverfast..

  • Fuji Pro 400H / Yashica T3

  • These are from part of a long term project of mine, documenting football pitches. Currently have around 50 or so images finalised, but hoping for over 100. Although it has take me nearly two years to get to 50. They are all shot on Ilford Delta 100, using a Fuji GW690 rangefinder.
