  • Might I interest sir in our Aalesund Express model?

  • That's very possible.

My bob Jackson will literally fold in two on my next climb. I can feel it.

I'd just want something understated and with a stiff front end. I'd probably just move everything across from the BJ.

  • An Aalesund express would need to be orange though.

  • That's not a problem.

  • The Saracen is HEAVY AS FUCK !

  • sits on hands

  • Fat bike probably lighter!

  • would need to be orange though

  • Orange frame and forks, with silver everything else, and black tyres, tape, and saddle. Simple.....

    ........ FFS!

  • 2015 is all about the folding recumbent full-sus electrically assisted tricycle

  • ^I'm planning on making summer of 2015 all about the lightweight, steel framed, racing pedalo with hydrofoils.

  • Hydraulic or mechanical discs?

    Can I haz Di2?

  • Racing pedalos sound awesome.

Bring some next dalsnibbe race, and we'll make a triathlon out of it.

  • So mainstream, the cool kids will be on their tandem trike audaxers for 2015

  • A lot of recumbents are so flexy that suspension is as functional as that of a Halfords £99 full-bouncer.

  • 2015 is all about the folding recumbent full-sus electrically assisted tricycle

    Recumbent me bro!

  • Decent geo .. is having very little diff in reach and changing stack a good practice? The 51cm is identical to my FM066

  • 8.6kg full build apparently, which doesn't seem TOO bad for a 3rd-tier group set and discs...

  • Literally the 700c road frames you know and love with added tyre.

27.5 MTBs (and access to wheel sets) have arrived just as road 700c road bikes go to 135 spacing and discs (no long-drop calipers needed), it's going to be so easy to go 650b.

There's no reason why you couldn't use 584-32 tyre through the winter and 622-25 in the summer on the same, proper road bike with no longer chainstay compromise.

  • It had occurred to me (probably when you mentioned this previously) that I could switch to a 650B wheelset on the Time Machine for winter - I don't know if you recall, but clearances with the ENVE RD fork meant I had to run a smaller tyre than I originally wanted.

What tyres were you thinking of?

  • The Saracen...

    Claimed frame weight is 1kg!

  • A Durano or Kojak in 584-35 would be sweeet.

Don't really want to shell out for Grand Bois.

  • Don't forget some bright blue anodised parts. Can't be completely tasteful and understated!

  • I used these Jan - April this year. I'll be back on that bike and those tyres again in a week or so. They're OK. @edscoble has used the various Grand Bois options in 32, 35 and 38. Some of them may be a bit delicate.

  • Former, always, if you're around today, you can take my full hydraulic system out for a ride (TRP).
