Forgive my ignorance, but what is the benefit of merino arm warmers?
Arms don't sweat all that much (at least mine don't) so don't you mainly just want something that stops the wind and offers a bit of warmth?
Fwiw my Torm ones have been great. The were my first arm warmers and they've done ever ry thing I need them to do. The only downside for me is that the seams at the top around my bicep have split a bit. However the double stitching has kept them together. And I'm sure that's mainly my arm shape, I'm sure they'd be fine for most people.
Also does anyone else's text not display on the reply function until they've the screen a clue of times?

The px ones (next to roubaix lycra) are maybe less clammy, certainly less wind-blocking. They didn't change my life.

What happened to the pro team jacket? Not on the website

Discontinued. Soon to be replaced by the Rabba.

I've got PX merino baselayers which have (so far) performed just as well as the Rapha ones I have. I still think Icebreaker are better than anything else, but only marginally - it all works.

People get very worked up about all this stuff, when in reality there are only very small differences. The biggest difference (for me) is the provenance of the wool and the way that the sheep have been treated - I doubt very much that the PX merino comes from happy sheep.

@dan I thought sheep were very happy in Yorkshire, given the lush grass?

I don't think that the sheep they make their baselayers from are in Yorkshire. I haven't checked that though. Seems unlikely they would be that cheap.

Tis a fair point. Brushed lycra is a better bet for most I guess. My thinking was that with a merino mesh vest on already. Having merino arm warmers in my jersey pocket (as well a packable wind or rain jacket), gives me an instant long sleeved base. So I was looking for them to work under stuff to be honest.
But they actually block a bit of wind, and are far more comfortable than brushed lycra.
The merino knee warmers are equally as great.

I quite like that new Columbia jersey, but then I have 3 similar versions.

Rapha logo inside socks. Is this just a Rapha thang or are they supposed to reversible or summut?
-
• #17690
There not reversible by design. By all means though, wear your socks inside out.
-
• #17691
So you can roll the top down and display the name for that 'I AM a complete and utter bell-end' look.
-
• #17692
Maybe you just had them on inside out?
-
• #17693
It's so that you know that you're wearing Rapha socks, but no one else does.

The new City stuff looks like something out of StarTrek
Snagged some classic bibs last night and a CCNYC cap. Will ride them on Saturday but feeling chuffed for now.
