Really like the idea of the backpack as I'm all for normal looking visibility apparel. I have a full 3m "cycling" backpack made by puma.
Which admittedly is slightly obnoxious in photos and headlights.
Unfortunately the helmet does looks very nodderish but with maybe a few design changes I'm sure it could become a really popular product. -

Saw someone wearing one of the helmets the other day & it got me interested. I know the styling is not for some but for me it looks similar to those POC ones which I also quite like.
Has anyone got one? I may be in the market for a new commuting helmet & the head lighting seems like a decent idea to me. I'm a bit worried about overheating in one though - compared to my Giro Aeon this looks like it'll be an oven, any feedback on ventilation & comfort would be appreciated...

I reckon those fibre optic sections would be useful on panniers as well (although they'd have to be right and left handed or have some kind of swappable panel).

I saw a kid wearing one of the helmets in Chiswick the other day, very large area of light and the helmet didn't look too bulky either. It wasn't very bright, but large area > bright. I reckon in conjunction with a flashing light on the bike, this is a great solution for kids / people sitting upright where helmet weight isn't so noticeable. I think they should make a rear only version of the helmet as well, as the front light isn't that useful.

Just what helmets need - something hard and unbreakable to embed into your skull...

Now when you drop your lid you get to replace the helmet and your rear light.
Out.

This is a company that appeared on Dragon's Den a few weeks ago.
In essence they integrate large LED lit areas into helmets and other products for cyclists.
I'm not so convinced by the helmets (they're kinda ugly, would anyone really choose to wear them?), but I am convinced by the rucksacks and other products that they could work on that provide large lit areas on them.
The campaign is on Seedrs, and I think they're only over-funding for another £40k, so this will be done fairly soon.
