No they don't pretend anymore... In fact they say it out loud with you call the apple number... Anyway you need the UK consumer rights legislation that gives you 6 years, the EU version is 2 years.

Just tell them you want to make a claim to replace / repair your iphone under the legislation mentioned above. They shouldn't ask any further question, if you want to read the actual T&C, as it were, then google Apple and UK consumer rights legislation, but there isn't much you need to know as long as the fault is from within the phone, you didn't break it - dropped it, water damaged that kind of things.

FFS... Apple claim I have to talk to O2 and O2 are claiming its one year only. These people are fucking cunts. Might just pop into an Apple store and punch someone out.

arrrrr..... then you need to bring this up with 02, the law only applies when you have bought the iphone from Apple EU directly. Sorry shoud have asked... worth threatening O2 with the law...

Shame you didn't get it directly from Apple. I went to Apple with a faulty iPhone 5 after 18-19 months of ownership and they replaced it immediately. It was well outside of the 12 months "warranty" and I didn't even have to ask.

dunno, maybe call them and ask to speak to a supervisor. To give Appe credit, though this doesn't help your case, but Apple is a rare company that openly say the law exist. If you happen to speak to a low level advisor or whatnot then they probably don't know this exist. But all eletronical items in the UK are covered, in your case, you just need find out who's responsible... My bet is O2...

If sth is up in the mini jack, they could very argue it's your fault... but worth a try, they replaced my iPhone 4 not even a 4S a little over a month ago and I bought mine 4 years ago...

Where would be the best place to best memory to upgrade the memory on my APPLE MAC PRO (MID 2010)? I beleive 16Gb is the maximum I can install and use.

I will also be buying an SSD to speed it up. Apparently this is the nuts...

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

The pro's are nice, but I doubt you would notice the performance differnece over the evo version. Also you can get 256 for the price of 128 (just about).

I'm doing 2D & 3D visualisation rendering so any performance boost would be great. It's my final year of architecture and I want my laptop ramped up as much as possible for a resonable price. Although I don't know the real difference between the two SSD's I read the Pro is faster and therefor better for my needs.....what are your thoughts on this?

Ipads are normally a second october event, I reckon we'll see a phone and a preview of watch to be released maybe just before xmas

I reckon the phone will be in the shops within a month. But year, the watch will be on everyone's Christmas list.

honestly, I'd really be surprised if you could tell in real life the minor speed differences between the Pro and Evo. The main thing about the Pro is the warranty, and the longer write cycles of the memory.

that said, the 850 Pro is out now as well which uses even newer memory chips. It's a tad more expensive
