These things are motorcycle tools so if you know anyone who tinkers with them you may have a lead to a borrow.

I got one off ebay for about £5 delivered (was last year I think) '2 arm puller' would be a good search term

I was concerned about the width of the central part that presses against that actual BB axle (whilst the rest pulls the crank off (oooh er)).

The centre of mine is a 130mm bolt with a 12mm diameter and tapered at the end.
No issues with it fitting into the crank.
