Great. They saw footage already and didnt mention your thoughts
-
• #53
Exactly.

• #54
You moved, repeatedly, when the guy was presumably trapped between your cab and the ped-refuge/railings/etc - which probably caused the scratch to your car.
-
• #55
But the coppers take your side without actually looking at what happened.
-
• #56
A shame, but not unexpected.

He was perfectly within his rights to crash into you. You were in his lane. In the highway code it says if your in a bike lane you dont need braeks.

Thats exactly my point. Why he ran?....
-
• #59
^True fact. Also, any fool know you can crash into another road user if they don't have a helmet on and it's their fault.

Thats exactly my point. Why he ran?....
Because you'd ground him against the railings in your car, then shouted at him whilst trying to pull his bike off him?
An assault charge would have been the proper result when you took your vid to the coppers.

Fantastic then. So from now I won't hit my brakes to prevent crashing into cyclist runing on the red light
-
• #62
You should probably make clear whether it's you running the red light in your threat of violence, or the potential victim.

I'd just like to say "LOL", at this point.

• #64
Fantastic!

Me?...I'd say I feel sorry for your mental health state

I can see the headlines now: cab driver steals bicycle from bewildered commuter, threatens to run other cyclists down with is cab.
@TaxiWarrior - how's your mental health state?
-
• #67
You must know every taxi driver then, are they all like you, on this weird planet you come from?
-
• #68
I'm with the taxi driver on this one.
-
• #69
The taxi driver who hit me most recently lied to the police when they interviewed him, then left the country ahead of the re-interview, which sadly stopped the prosecution.

Ask there for John. londontaxi.proboards.com taxi forum
Why me? I don't know the name of the taxi driver who rear-ended me and then tried to grind me against some railings. Or can I assume that John is the only cabbie who has form for this sort of caper?
