do you know the size?

Nice fork crown and a good price.
What appears to be an 'S' on the alloy light mount is a snake and was made by Constrictor.

Forgot to say, I measured it roughly to be a 55cm frame.
Can't thank you enough! Spent ages trying to satisfy my curiosity and figure out what that "s" was...

Since I got hold of my Holdsworth La Variable with those spear point lugs, I must say I am falling in love with them! They are so nice!
Once I leave my girlfriend (*) I'll collect Gillotts frames and all spear point headtube lugs frames!!!
Good luck with the sale of this great looking frame.
(*) that'll never happen ;)

is this still for sale? are u in stratford on avon?
This Gillott frame doesn't really need any introduction. It has the frame number stamped on both rear drop outs which suggests it is pre 1951. In areas such as the top tube the paint is understandably quite worn, in other places, such as parts of the seat tube, the paint is in excellent condition, you may wish to restore it as new, otherwise it would make a mighty fine beater frame. Note that in the pictures the frame is very dirty, it will probably clean up well with a few hours of polishing and cleaning, but the pics do make it look worse than it is. Beautiful lug work, especially on the rear drop outs. Headset could possibly be a Lytaloy one, but the chrome is mostly gone and the bearings certainly need greasing at the least. The bottom bracket doesn't appear to be a period one and probably needs new bearings too. The alloy light mount is marked "S", anyone know who made it?
Collection from Stratford, might be able to meet on the tube somewhere if you're far away. Looking for 140.
