  • Correct! He uses a Deda Pista stem and the saddle all the way forward. I guess when you spend that long on a bike, a fit can tell you one thing but your own feelings can override that.

  • I thought laybacks had advantage over inline for dampening and act as suspension ..

I think I saw this article - was on velonews I think? - the set up was a joke.
As the same frame size was used, the saddle was either slammed forward for inline, or back for lay-back. So the set-back seatpost would have let the saddle nose drop down (if there was any suspension, see the new Specialized seatposts), whereas the inline would have had the tail dropping down. Really a test needs to be done in a way that the saddle rails are clamped in the same position for each type of seatpost

  • Why am I just getting a blank black square on my page when I try and follow this:

  • Lost 3/4 of my heel lugs on my S-works shoes, does anyone have replacements in stock?

  • I'm pretty sure YouTube disabled that trick a while ago...

  • Fuckers. There do seem to be comments on the Youtube video from just a few months ago saying it had worked though...

  • I definitely could be wrong. I know there are a couple of old YouTube tricks which Google have stopped. Just can't remember which.

Other option is to rip it, enable developer tools on ppt, create a windows media player object and insert the drive path of the file.

Obviously that doesn't work if you have to email it to someone.

  • Is this bad?

  • Handlebars?

    I'd say yes.

  • Yes!
I managed to slowly cut through my first pair of CF handlebars, due to overtightening in bolt, which pinched the fibers, and then regular slips and re-tightening.
Luckily I'm not a sprinter, and I noticed the odd flex, but bars are the one thing you don't want to fail

  • What they said, IMO of there's doubt just don't do it. Save yourself the pain.

  • If I replace a 1" HT on a frame with a 44mm one will it give any more reach?

  • Depends how you do it, but the most it will add is about 7mm, more typically you'd leave the centreline of the tube where it is so it wouldn't change the geometry at all.

  • Cheers, the builder is pretty hard to communicate with so I'll just go with 1 1/8 and let him do his thing.

  • looking for recipes using carob, anyone got anything they recommend?

  • Cheers gentleman. Bars binned

  • works in PP 2010

  • No, but don't make anything that uses it as a substitute for chocolate.

  • My Google Fu is weak today. Looking for a Dutch (I think) blog about cycling fashion. Lots of pics of well dressed people on, erm, dutch bikes.
Also, a site that sells womans cycling clothing that is fashionable but not roadie/hi viz etc.

  • Not the one I was thinking of but I'll pass it on anyway thanks.

  • The Amsterdam one was this one I was after thanks. #bothwellrep

  • http://www.maartjehoogland.nl/ this has some nice stuff, some more cycling-specific than others. Payment is by bank transfer though, which is a bit of a faff (I ended up using a friend with both UK and Dutch bank accounts as an intermediary... ). If you're looking for the "shop" bit hit the red tab top right.
