  • I saw Fox and the Law last night in Bristol. They're on their first UK tour and are heading to The Half Moon in Putney tomorrow night. Highly recommended if you're a fan of grungy funky shit.

  • I'm showing the Big Star documentary on Sunday, upstairs at the Prince Regent in Herne Hill... 8pm, free entry, all welcome...

  • Just got back from seeing Kate Bush.

    Wow.

  • Ezra Furman at the Scala last night was brilliant, one of the best gigs I have seen. Support from Sweet Baboo was also a pleasant surprise.

  • Just picked up tickets to the Manic Street Preachers performing Holy Bible.

    Rather pleased with this.

  • Goat at the Roundhouse on Friday! Yes!

  • Awesome! Saw them last time they played Heaven and it was amazing. Nisennenmondai supporting is a mega bonus.

  • Bad Plus on Monday anyone?

  • Just a shout out for the Music For Youth School Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.. I went to see my elder son take part with his school choir and had assumed that it would be just a selection of (pretty basic) London-based primary schools taking part.
I was really impressed with the scope of the music we heard from all ages up to Sixth Form. Choral, Orchestral, jazz and singer-songwriter bands.

  • Godspeed Y!BE coming back to London in April, close to my birthday!

  • ^ heeeellllls yeah

  • Hai.

I'm coming down to London's famous Brixton Academy next Saturday for Carter USM's Final Comedown (ask your uncle), but getting back to Cambridge on the train will mean missing the end so I'm going to drive. Any of you local lot got advice on parking nearby?

  • As long as you come down after 6pm there'll be loads of spots in Brixton to park for free... Popes Road? Or any of the streets off Stockwell Road near Brixton Cycles should be OK...
