Still in the pipeline rogan, still in the pipeline. But Ride2Work is like a free bike. I've been on the Ride2Work scheme non-stop for two years, so I've never seen the £80 a month I spend on Ride2Work anyway - so yeah. Free bike.

That's my kind of logic!

Check the Raleigh RX, go full hydro.

I had my retinas burned out by a 2014 version of this I saw locked up in Edinburgh last week. Least I think so. At the time all I could think was 'wow that's some paint' and 'oh look trp hydro brakes' and 'ah 1x drivetrain'.
Anyway I thought it looked interesting.

Wasn't impressed with the CAADX. It just felt cheap and dull to ride. The Pinnacle was surprisingly good. Guy I know stripped the paint, added 3T finishing kit and is in the process of upgrading it with silly expensive wheelset. He's proper chuffed at how well the build has worked out.

After much deliberation I've ordered a 2015 Cube Agree Pro from my LBS.
Full carbon (1kg frame), 105, decent wheels , good fit and not bad looking for €1,300.
Throw in the bike 2 work scheme and free service for life and I think I got a pretty good deal

I'd budget £20 for new bartape though. Looks like a deal otherwise.

Thanks Chak, that's really good to know. Will still ride one and see what it's like.
-
• #111
Yup the bar tape is hideous

Now that you put it like that I might have to get on it again next year. Already got 2 out of it. Perhaps a cx bike next

Just got mine, wish had done ages ago. Such versatility! Today round here...there just aren't very many true cx bikes with mudguard mounts. The Canyon looks best bet.

but not bad looking ..
I'm not sure you are qualified to review aesthetics ;)

• #115
Yeah... do it. Such good value, those free bikes.

I kinda like that Synapse. The hoods are super goofy though.
-
• #117
How long do you pay it off for ? 80 x 24 months = 1920. I am clearly missing something.
-
• #118
Yup
-
• #119
I've done it twice. This time was £1000 / 12 = ~£80 p/m
The first time was £500 / 12 = ~40 p/m
-
• #120
80 /mo before tax tho right?
-
• #121
Yeah yeah yeah course. Before tax. Straight outta my salary before I get it.

I think I'm going to get a Dolomite Six on CtW for winter training.

Go for the one with TRP's. Much better value.
-
• #125
trp?
Dunno why you'd bother with the Synapse when you could just get a cross bike...
