Spacers between the spider arms and the chainring isn't going to move your cranks more outwards. Solution: buy a BB with a longer spindle and fuck up the chainline.
Use longer BB, and then spacers to bring the chainring back to where it was before.
Or, ride it, see if the crank hits the stay when you sprint, if it doesnt then leave it be.
