I have to ask, but what happen with the Tonic? I'd have though the
disc make a perfect winter bike once you adapt it (especially with
5800 R685 full hydraulic).

It's being built up for the cross season this year as I plan on racing as much as possible. It's a nightmare having to switch tyres every week! Chances are I'll go to BB7's or HY/RDs as I've got a cheapy 105 group to go on it.

HY/RD defintely, especially during cross where the auto aligned pads and dual piston enabling even pads wear.
