I definitely could be wrong. I know there are a couple of old YouTube tricks which Google have stopped. Just can't remember which.
Other option is to rip it, enable developer tools on ppt, create a windows media player object and insert the drive path of the file.
Obviously that doesn't work if you have to email it to someone.
