  • Aha, not selling I'm afraid, but there are plenty of amazng steel frames to be had if you're willing to be patient/spend a bit second hand.

  • Or you could just get a custom Bob Jackson...

  • Those Bob Jackson Vig's are gorgeous!

  • Yeah they really are, cockpit aside this is dream bike territory:

  • Is that a Vig?

  • Technically no - when I was massively lusting after one a few months ago I emailed Bob Jackson about that exact frame, and the guy who got back to me (who was a bit dense) said he remebered the order, and it was a custom geometry job, as well as being in 853 rather than the 653 they use as standard now. They still do custom orders though, but I think there's a bit of a wait, and you pay through the nose for it. The standard Vig is still pretty immense though - I'll get one one day.

  • It does look rather special...perhaps worth enquiring

  • It's the paint that makes it I think - kind of Colnago esque, but a touch more refined - that and the straightblade fork, which might be even straighter than mine! They will make custom forks for you at custom bends/rakes though - I asked that too.

  • Colnago esque is a good thing :) although @benjaminbunny orange Bob is very nice.

  • Replaced my headset (Thanks, Jack!) and got some risers.

Also got these badass Dia Compe levers

  • I'm seeing potential here @rikki!!

  • Haha, that's ridiculous! Saw your other frame earlier, don't paint it!

  • I won't be painting it, everything that's on the Jamis will be going on it

  • Frankenbike thread >>>>>>>>>>>

  • :)

  • Aha, yeah just a joke, but that seemed the best/easiest way to express myself!

  • Haha! I think those wheels make it look even worse!

  • So you're going to have the Jamis, the other bike (which I thought was the beater?) and then this as another beater?

  • The Caminada isn't beater enough to be a beater...more of a rat painted beauty?

You know that one can never have too many bikes, right?

  • Of course!

  • New concor x for ass comfort atop a blb cobra post, nice new 25c ribmo tyres, nitto cockpit with very comfy fabric tape over gel padding, shimano clipless pedals and home made tube protector.... BOOM!
Just need some new gearing and I'm done.... Maybe..... Let's be honest.. Ya never done:)
