Wanted: Touring frame (or bike) 54-55cm

So I had a Dawes Galaxy a few years ago and have regretted selling it for a while now, and as such......now in the market for a new bike / frame.

I missed out on a nice bike on the bay and have been keeping my eye out for something on here but there hasnt been much in this size

Ideally after frame / forks only, but open to offers of complete bikes, late 80s or 90s preferred, quill stem, steel, braze ons for mudguards and racks essential, canti brake mounts too

Size wise I think 54-55cm top tube is about right, price wise? open to suggestions......could do a ratty old frame that needs a new paint or something in good condition anyway, let me know what you have!

Hi Anidel, I have an old Dawes Horizon I could let go, it's a complete bike though, and not sure on exact sizing but if interested PM me and I'll get the measuring tape out!

Pretty sure I have a 531 Dawes Horizon somewhere, modernish Acera bits on it. I think the wheels were pretty crap. Will measure and pm.

hello Primitive _robot. I have orbit silver medal reynolds 531 touring frame and forks. Its either 54 or 55cm Frame. The bike will need Wheels, Seatpost stem and seat. All other bits are there.

There should be Surly - custom painted - frame on sale in Kinoko. Worth checking.

Just been completely rebuilt with all new parts (apart from headset and bottom bracket), hence is pretty much a new bike. Top notch spec including 531 frame - £650 (plus postage or collect from Kent ME11)

Hi, i don't know if i've sent you a message before but if i didn't here it is. A Ru-Fa Sport frame, with mudguard eyelets, good tyre clearance, suitable for canti's and panier racks. Reynolds 531, will check the sticker to be sure . Size 54 c-c , both top and seat tubes. Have also the Mafac Criterium Deluxe cantilevers and some other parts from the gear in the attached photo. Diamant cyclocross in Ishiwata 022 steel with mudguard eyes and canti mounts. Just had a basic repaint, not the finest jo but is certainly presentable. top tube 55 c2c, seat tube 54 c2c. new headset. £120.
