Copper on one of the whitechapel road junctions asking a lad on a fixed wheel if he had any lights at 9.15am this morning.
"the nights are drawing in, you should be prepared".
No malice in it, think he was genuinely just trying to be helpful. Failing, obviously, but having a go nonetheless.
