I guess I dont know the exact details (never stopped anyone from speculating on the internet though) but -
Why can the police disarm and arrest a knife wielding man on Thursday, (who has just cut someone's head off and is running around like a maniac looking for more people to kill), but then shoot a knife wielding man dead on a Friday who is in a house, and hasn't killed anyone with it?

Think it's about the risk of hurting others in the specific instant. Knife guy was believed to be threatening someone, as I understand it, while machete man had been boxed in on his own.

Plus hey if we were in the states there'd be more dead people amirite
-
• #31869
The alleged killer in Edmonton had cut the head off a cat he thought had stolen his lighter, the fact he may have been a muslim convert sounds incidental to me.

Ha! Good. Yeah, I went a bit nuts about this on Twitter - along with several others.
He also wrote a piece about the pointlessness of pets, especially cats - I say no more....grrrrr

Not sure how to 'reply' to a previous post of mine so forgive the repetition...
My friend's 14 year old daughter went missing nine days ago (you may have seen it reported in the news) and was last seen on cctv walking along the Grand Union Canal tow path near the Holiday Inn at Brentford Lock, not far from her home in Hanwell. Police divers have searched the canal in the area, the Homicide dept has taken the case on but so far only her rucksack has been found.
Now police have published CCTV images of five cyclists who saw her moments before she disappeared from camera, passing the Trumpers Way Canal Bridge in Hanwell, as they may have "vital" information.
It's a long shot (esp given the descriptions) but does anyone on here use this stretch of canal, or know those who do? Police have given sketchy descriptions of each of the cyclists they want to trace:
Cyclist one - The cyclist is wearing a light coloured / white top, light blue trousers, and possibly a light coloured cycling helmet. By the riders posture it appears to be a mountain bike, but no colour or description.
Cyclist two - Cyclist is wearing light coloured top, light coloured trousers or shorts, with light and dark coloured shoes. The riders posture is more upright and could be a female’s bicycle.
Cyclist three - The cyclist is wearing a dark short sleeve top, dark shorts, light and dark shoes. The rider’s posture suggests this could be a mountain bike, but no colour or description.
Cyclist four - wearing a very dark top and dark trousers. The rider’s posture suggests this could be a mountain bike.
Cyclist five - wearing a grey hooded top with hood up, dark trousers. The rider’s posture suggests this could be a mountain bike.
Please join the campaign - family at their wits' end now.
thanks
