Welcome to progress. Sometimes fundamentals have to change in order to move forward.
In 10 years, we'll all be riding disc brakes anyway.

You should think yourself lucky, this year I've spent ~£800... just on brakes.
And I don't own a single disc brake.

In ten years, it will all be coaster brakes again....

Did you see that concept bike from, erm, I forget that rotates the wheels with magnets?
