You having court sharing woes on Sunday too now? I assumed it was just a Wednesday thing... Not sure if you saw the pic of the basketball court where I've moved, at the back of my house in Rubery. I l know it's a way out, but if you wanted to try that I could scope out the best, quietest times...?
On another note, what make is the hard ball you've used when I've played with you? Where did you get it? Not the rubbery one that tends to stick under my mallet (I'll blame my tools for poor play, yes).

Nah, it's almost never a problem on Sundays. That's why we play in the morning rather than the afternoon. Come 2/3pm some nippers occasionally want to kick a ball around but by that time we are winding down usually.
The balls we use are from Magic and Fixcraft. Google those and you'll find them.
The stickiness problem is a function of the heat but the newer 'NAH' (North American Hardcourt) balls seem to be lighter/harder/faster and more resistant to heat. They make it easier to hit the ball really, really, fast so I'm 100% behind them.

Okey doke, thanks Dan. Anyway, maybe catch you one Sunday soon, or a Wednesday - the winter season must be coming up when you use the other court?

Hmm, today is the first day I've cycled all the way in from Rubery. Looking at Calthorpe Park it's actually on the Cycle Route 5 I took in this morning. Wondering if I'll ever feel up to doing that one day and then 'popping in' for a bit of polo on the way home. Given how shattered I feel now from my ride in, maybe not!

I might get there half 6 (I'll come straight from work), to have some earlier presence. If anyone wants to join me for a pre-polo-pattie then see you there. Also worth noting that the lads who turned up last week say they play every Weds from 'about 9'.
