Booking my session now =)

Booked my FREE training, it didn't recognise my work address and a bill came: £82

Is the black logo losing it's importance? If cycling continues to grow so fast the logo will forever be black.
Maybe it should be reserved exclusively for forum members or Londoners?
-

It is reserved for forum members and Londoners. It's very unfortunate and sad that it's black now.

I'm appalled that I completely missed that thread. Microcosm has significantly reduced the breadth of my reading.

Also you get to ride your bike hell-for-leather directly at a stationary cycle trainer in the emergency stop test which is both thrilling and slightly terrifying...
Some don't need a cycling lesson to do that.
-
• #1459
Ey? That can't be right. Have you queried it with the people you booked with?
-
• #1460
The instructor, who contacted me to arrange the lesson, says it's free. But even after that I got the confirmation email with a price of £82.25 to pay in next 24 hours.
-
• #1461
I wouldn't pay and would contact the agency who controls the booking, it is more than likely the instructor has less input on the booking process than you do

Could it be that your work address isn't in Lewisham? When booking through Lewisham, you should give your home address in Lewisham. You can also book through work, but that will then be another local authority. I suppose it's up to you which one you want to take up first.

Booked with Southwark. Don't know what was wrong but anyway I already took the first free lesson and gonna take the second next week.

Anyone know what happened outside Oasis leisure centre in Holborn Friday night? Police had closed the road heading to New Oxford St around 10pm. There was a bike at the side of the road and what looked like some bloody paper towels in the road.
-
• #1465
What a twat. I fell off at about 5 mph as I was slowing for a roundabout. In my defence, the road is covered in leaves and it's wet up here. Now my ribs ache. FFS.

Some absolute bell on Old Kent Road at the T junction by Toys are us, in a white Transit van, semi pulled out in front of me, to (from what I can gather) to show off to his mate in the passenger seat, as he clearly saw me and thought it was funny, as I could hear him laughing. I had to slam all on swerve, and I could feel the back wheel lifting. Anyway he got a well deserved remark and the middle finger, which wasn't what I would have liked to have done, but it was probably best to stay on the right side of the law.

I was knocked down while approaching the junction near ex mouth market. I was riding on Rosebery Ave. when a van driver knocked me from the side as he decided not to stay in the side street.
It knocked me across the road from one side to the other injuring my left side, damaging my new carbon shoes, new halo wheels and bike.
He came over asked twice while I was on the ground if I was alright and when i asked him for his details he didn't respond.
Got in his white van and drove away.
This happened around 8:15 am this morning. An amazing bystander said he would help as a witness and gave me his details
01/10/2014. Today.
I contacted the police who gave me a crime reference number and hopefully they will look at the footage from the two massive traffic cams that caught the whole thing.
Not sure what are the next steps. Any advice as how to proceed?

The witness gave me his contact details but Im not sure about the Van driver that hit me. I can remember maybe a P0 DHH but I am not sure as the adrenaline was going and my left side had a thumping dull pain where he hit me. Couldn't focus easily due to adrenaline.
The pain is coming back now so I'm going to GP tomorrow but need advice? The police didn't seem too bothered over the phone.

Heal up soon, Fixed*Star! Have you sought medical attention? It can't be stressed enough that you should do this in any case.
Make sure you stay on it tightly, as they will try to fob you off.
Good luck!
Well yeah Ed, that's why I also said be careful.
