  • Yeah its decent price .. if you were to spend more do it on finishing kit; something like service course SL would be another £100 but will save weight and is nice ..

And if you were to add weight in exchange of comfort/faster rolling etc. Kinlin XC279 instead of XR200.

  • my club gets 20% off at the local big box bike shop too, which means my money goes a wee bit further on things like finishing kit. don't think they can compete w/merlin or pbk on groupset pricing tho

  • If its 6800 the cheapest atm is CRC with quidco at £455.70

  • Not really, majority of weight is on the wheelset.

Advice - forget about the weight and build it up.

  • In other news; I built this up again:

Rychtarski is too upright for the kind of riding I am training for so thats kept as chassis only and moved wheels and saddle to this. Still in two minds about weather to keep it or not due to space constraints.

It now has DA7900 with Rotor 3D (soon to be with P2M) It will be my training bike and it will get raceblade long mudguards soon.

Did a 50+ miles ride on it yesterday and might get rid of that 1 spacer as well .. hail yoga!

  • Space!? I've 12 bikes in my flat.

    Never give up a bike.

  • Missus hasnt noticed this 'small' change yet .. lets see ;)

On a slightly serious note; where do you keep 12 bikes?!

  • On the stairs. On the wall in the sitting room. And I converted the loft into a training/bike area.

  • I currently have 2x chassis (frames with everything but wheels) and 2x bikes; one belongs to missus in a 2nd floor 1 bed flat living room with Topeak stand and one of those German mounts on the wall .. walking on a very thin line of N+1

  • Inspired by @Breso and the bars on his Nag, I changed my too-wide Service Course SL bars for the non-SL Ergo 70. When I took the Lizard Skins tape off the bike, it fell apart into three different pieces, so I sacked that off and got some cheap Specialized tape too:

  • (Also awaiting a new rear wheel and some SKS Bluemels matt black mudguards)

  • Nice!
looks comfy, with matt black mudguards will be ace.

  • Are you selling the sl versions?

  • Yep, check Classifieds

  • Too wide for me as well.

  • considering ditching my bob and just having the talbot as an all weather all year round. just too paranoid to lock it up. Dam london with its dam thieves.

  • Fixie flounce is the way forward ..

  • This looks good. The frameset looks nice, like a Cervelo R3.

  • Loic, it looks brilliant! :)

  • Looks great Aches. Loving the little Wu-Tang sticker.

  • Amey, what is that frame?

  • moved the stable to london, now i'm back, so will hopefully be out on the roads in the next few days

  • Thanks, its actually cut from a reflective black sticker sheet.

  • This is now a fucking fantastic bike.

  • Oh why thank you :)
