I'd definitely check with your solicitor. I was told I'd have to go to a local solicitor to do it, until I mentioned the Post Office service, then I was told that was fine. Legally a certified copy is ok, it's just that the whole system assumes your solicitor is local, which is often no longer the case.
I need to apparently. Transfering a propery in to my name and the form specifically states i need to take it to a convayencer with passport photos and othe proof of who i am
