  • Have double cos where I live it's flat. Always flat. BUT after a recent trip to the hills I regretted not having a compact. Do I...

    1. Save up and buy a Campagnolo chorus compact 11spd to keep things inline withe the rest of the group.
    2. Get an FSA double and a new BB for when I head to the hills.
    3. Stick to the double but get the biggest cassette I can find... 29 I think for Campagnolo.

    Merci.

    1. Get compact cranks and 52/36 rings; stick the 50/34 rings on for your occasional trips to the hills; run 52/36 otherwise.

Depending on what you currently have, a new cassette might work better with the two set-ups.

I like this gear calculator, as you get a graphical comparison of two set-ups.
