I'm a Business Analyst and work at home 3-4 days per week. I'm about to move house and will be setting up a 'proper' office which I want to be an ideal environment for work. I currently use a 14" HP Ultrabook hooked up to a 32" monitor at home; which is too big and the screen resolution is awful. I'm torn between grabbing myself a cheap compact PC with dual HDMI outputs or sticking with my laptop and running a single, but good 27" monitor. I'm a keen photographer (hobbyist) so ideally I'd like decent DPI and clear representative monitors too. My work incorporates software and system design so multiple screens open at one time are a must.
Has anyone setup a home office and if so what have you found that works for you? I'm quite tempted to have everything run from my laptop through a docking station (USB/HDMI hub) for quick setup, but I don't want to lose out on performance.
