Zipp Service course 80 (base model) has 125mm drop and 80mm reach, you can find them new on the bay for £30

I have some Deda Piega on my daily ride which are pretty ace and definitely cheap...

A bit of acetone gets rid of the white off with relative ease.

Deda piega have 130mm drop and 75mm of reach... And plus, imo, quite ugly :(

Comfy though... ;)

Would anyone happen to know or care to recommend what 31.8mm clamp/black compact bars would best approximate the shape of my Nitto M106 bars? (78 reach, 128 drop) I thought the Planet X Strada Compact (70/125) would be a good enough approximation but they're TINY. Thanks.

Yes, the black one with silver end plugs, the graphics are not so bright, you can barely see them ;)

Look through the FSA catalog.

Ahh, fantastic.
How would you rate it?
I considered it once upon a time because I was looking for that rubbery texture and the metal bar plugs seemed to be worth it. -

Thanks S_F. You've just reminded me that someone suggested the FSA Vero (plain gauge version of FSA Omega from what I can tell), which look ideal.

Hey,
there's a demonstrative comparison of different compact drops i found useful - http://ruedatropical.com/2009/03/road-drop-bar-geometry/ maybe someone else will too. :)
Cheers!

So what's the general consensus on this? Currently I have FSA vero, but I could do with more reach

I'm using piega bars with no hoods. I like them but finds its tops or drops only!

Spotter bars (Bontrager SSR VR-C 26.0) are about 95mm reach
and 31.8 version (Race VR-C) are 100mm -> http://www.bontrager.com/model/09169

The shop link on that site says they are 85mm reach, as are any other shop sites I can find them on. Oh, and they are discontinued.

Maybe there are different versions.(Bontrager SSR VR-C 26.0 are longer than 85mm in reality)

Giving this thread a bump as the classic Ergosum bars are no longer available anywhere, unless I'm willing to fork out 70 quid plus for the higher end versions, which I aren't.
Anyone able to recommend any other compact bars with 90mm+ reach?

Got some off classifieds here. Tomorrow I'll go to the post office.
Looking for some compact drops I plan to use without hoods, so trying to find some that have a fairly long reach.
3T Ergosum seemed to be ideal, however these are long gone and hard to find.
Also looking to spend little. Any recommendations?
