Nah you don't, go to a post office and pay £7.50 and they'll sign and stamp a photocopy which is a 'certified copy'. Then post that to your conveyancing solicitor.
I just did this as we're splitting our shared garden which involves submitting new plans to the land registry.
My conveyancing/other things solicitor is in Warwick, I wouldn't pay London prices.

Offices are nowhere near me, and i need to physically go in to an office to get my identity confirmed for some land regsistry documents.
