School me on the tapered HS thing. Why is that good?

Less flex, sometimes lighter

Still really want a histo.
Cloud 9 Cycles got some previous year ones in stock (black/blue/white)
500 papers. Can't find it cheaper anywhere. Worth a shot or better to wait for a second hand one? -
• #2330
Used ones still go for around 450 so you'll be barely saving anything

• #2331

Unless you get a great 2nd hand deal how can anyone justify the ridiculous hipster tax on these Cinelli frames?! The welds are atrocious, and it's the good looking but wholly aesthetic geometry that people are paying for no? I can't help but think anyone with one of these for road or commuting use is a total mug. You could have a much better bike, whether that be fixed, track specific or road. These frames are for posers with more money than sense. I'd love to hear a counter argument if anyone has one.

The welds are atrocious
Really? I'll just leave this here:

Really.
Apart from that model they are atrocious; just take a look at that black ulcer on the last page. -

Lose a link dude

On the parallax, they didn't bother to polish wields on/around the bottom bracket. Because it doesn't show on photos ?
#sloppywork -
• #2340
the welds aren't shoddy they're just not smooth.
@Kuku_Penthouse tell me how "wholly aesthetic geometry" works please?
-
• #2341
Yeh was planning to do that since I got it. Finally got round to it today: removed one link; bike looks a lot better.

In reposte to this. Mash is basically regeod Vigorelli. Originally developed for competitive track. As for welds, well they just have not been filed (which actually weakens structure) Look at alloy welds on fancy 90s MTBs for comparison. In terms of price point. Middle of road. Get yo sel a custom Pelizzoli etc for proper tax.
-
• #2345
A custom pellizoli isn't much more than retail price of a mash.
