My 02 was from essex, guy near a barn I rented had prepared it for 'rallying' by replacing all the shock with coil overs and utilizing longer springs. The interior was stripped and all the glass taken out. Painted with many coats of cellulose paint and sat in a shed for over a decade. Then I spent many an evening and weekend putting the thing back together. Mine definitely wasn't seem welded.
Was tempted to change the set up for ti and still have the inlet manifold and brand new pair of dellorto jetted to the set up and second hand set of webers that weren't. Still holding on to it as I know once the manifold is sold I won't get another.
