I've used it on a steel tourer from the 80s. Got it flat, but the rods they supply didn't fit, they are curved and I needed straight. You can buy straight ones quite cheap.

Thank you for the rapid replay. Were you able to get the rack perfectly horizontal (flat) ? Did you get any interference of the rack with the rear dropouts?

Yeah, I got it flat and had no problems with the dropouts.
I am after a tortec velocity rack and I would like to know if any of you is using it. Can be suited on a classic steel frame ? Without slopping? From the pictures I appears to be quite long and I don't know if it can used on steel classic racing bike (with eyelets).
