  • Why don't you just send the frame back to Jacek to get disc tabs brazed on?

  • and a rear mech hanger while you're at it +1 for versatility, so you'll have it all in one bike

-edit: and please forget belt drive systems, it's just far too fuckin expensive yet. And I know you, you'll get bored of it in no time anyway;)

  • ... or rather the appropriate braze for running a Rohloff?

I can't get my head round singlespeed commuter, I love riding fixed, hate riding singlespeed on the road, and gears make the commute so much better. Unless it's a really short commute.

  • i will leave the orlowski as it is (v-brakes and singlespeed) and as soon as the weather get's rainy i will add the mudgards.

but i can't and won't riding through the forest with the mudgards, therefore i'm looking for an otp cyclocross disc bike. i would love to own one more than let pelizzoli built a custom fixed bike. i still love riding fixed, but it prefer freewheeling within the city as it's much easier and faster.
hence i love to use it for commuting to work. also the single way to work is only 4.5km flat roads where i don't need gears.

  • You've ridden through the forest exactly once. Hold your horses young man

  • i rode this trail many times this year young boy ;)

  • ok:)

  • rainy night, sunny morning. time for cx.

  • Do you cross on 44/16?

  • yes, but it's mostly flat

  • Awesome bike mate. You've got goood taste.

  • not really a current project anymore, but i still love this bike every f. day, especially during the cross rides. i really hope that the geared disc cx bike will be the same fun as this one.

  • 10.5kg with SKS Bluemels mudgards

  • Do you have a pic with mudguards? Interested to see how you have fitted the rear with the wishbone

  • not yet, will do one within the next few days.
i ordered the wishbone with place for a screw below, so really clean mounting.

  • changes the brake pads after the initial installation and bought a tubus fly evo rack and a pair of ortlieb front roller classic for commuting to work

  • Pics of this setup would be nice!

  • as soon as the bags will be here i will do new pictures

  • nds-fail and indoor pic, but you can imagine how it looks like:

  • detail

  • decided to give this a little modern fresh up.
conti 4season 32 and trp cx9 are already here, sram s500 levers and 3t ergoterra pro are ordered, new pictures soon.

  • since i have the cdf this bike is a wallhanger. but as the frame fits me perfectly and the giant carbon cx bike didn't fit 650bx2.2 tires and as also the panaracer firecross tires made the giant really slowly i installed them on the orlowski. in the front it is still space for bigger tires, in the back the firecross (700x45) is the absolutely maximum regarding the space on the chainstays.
have ordered a smaller chainring (36) and will try to give this bike it's sscx-life back soon.

  • amazing....if you ever pass it on, first dibs!

  • really cool bike! congrats
