  • First of all: Denmark. We'll get Norway back at some point, though. Reports from the Danish press say Liverpool gets first pick of any talent from Brøndby in the future and Agger can't just move on to any club he would wish. Rumours have it that he never wanted to play for anyone else than LFC and his childhood club, Brøndby. Combined with few games in the coming season, a lot of injuries and some have guessed at homesickness, that has sealed the deal. A local sponsor has given Brøndby the money for the tranfer as the clubs 50 year birthday present.

    The Directeur Sportif of Brøndby just went on live tv and said there's no agreement on first pick of talents, that Agger wanted to go to Denmark because the kids are reaching school age and that his physique wasn't up for top level football anymore. Liverpool let him go at a very, very cheap price because of his loyalty towards the clubs through the years and that he was among the highest paid in the club.
