  • SHould have pushed him in the canal. > lycra, riding in the drops of his road bike, who yelled "over" at me this morning. It's a canal towpath. If you want to go that fast

  • I didn't have a choice when i was drafted by the army, so why should buses have more rights than me?

  • wut?

  • Either he means "drafted into" and is making a weak joke, or he really was in the army and whenever he went cycling the RSM used to draft him. And you don't argue with the RSM.

  • Either way, it makes sense. if you are drafted into the army, the army drafted you and you were drafted by the army. can you follow that (con)script?
yes, that was another joke based on a mixture of 'following the script' and the act of conscription. My biggest problem is perhaps not peoples lack of comprehension, but the fact i am 2 pages too late to be making this joke.

  • Did jeez and tommy have a love child?

  • forget it haha

  • I just got it! LOL

  • I was not 2 pages late for that joke anyway, i was 13….if you give a shit about what inspired it, see page 413. i warn you in advance, it's probably not worth your time.

  • Riding on the towpath is something I always seem to end up regretting doing. Hate encountering people like that.

  • The Mail have spun that guide dog story to claim that 42% of blind people have been smashed into by cyclists. It's getting silly now, there will be a tiny correction on page 54 in a month but everyone will remember the headlines about packs of cyclists hunting down blind people to smash into.

  • That escalated quickly.

The BBC changed their headline and clarified that the actual number of collisions reported was 12. Not in a specified space of time, either. Just ever.

  • this is what happens when you substitute press releases for actual journalism. slowclap to all involved.

  • Nice one guide dogs people. Really fucking great work.

  • classic fucking churnalism.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said a quarter of guide dogs working in London had been hit by a bike. The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association has since said the information it provided was incorrect.

  • I've been directly involved with multiple collisions with vehicles, all due to the fault of the driver of said vehicles. To whom should I send my press release to?

"100% OF CYCLISTS NO LIKE GOING OUTSIDE AS IS SCARED OF MAJORITY OF DRIVERS WHAT LOOK AT PHONE/FLOOR/SKY AND WAVE AT OTHER DRIVERS/PRETTY MUCH DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING BUT THE ACKNOWLEDGE THE SPACE AROUND THEM AND THE DANGER THEY POSE. PLEASE REFER TO KSI FIGURES FOR NUMBERS/FACTS. #DRIVERSEYES."

  • blind people and their dogs should have segregated pathways.
    and wear hemlets.

  • As should peds who can't walk along with out update Facebook/Twitter on their bloody phones.

  • Guide dogs don't pay road tax and I think the licence is cheaper if the dog's black and white.

    #freeloaders.

  • Belm who blithely ran a red between a pedestrian and me pushing my bike across a crossing in Aldgate yesterday. Chain tension was as poor as his attitude.
