Windy but dry and reasonably warm.

t3?
-
• #7429
It's exceptionally slow when you look at what has been achieved on MG
-
• #7430
Yes, T3 unchanged from normal set up apart from 43/16 gear and 140mm cranks.
-
• #7431
In terms of gain ratio , it's equivalent to using a 90" gear with my normal cranks.
-
• #7432
Hmm. Think I'll be on 49x18 and a 23c tyre, with an emergency 48t (which is the same as 71.5'' on my normal cranks).
-
• #7433
Fit the 48, you'll never get under 72" with 49/18 and 700×23C. You need a thin tread 700×20C to just about scrape inside the rollout with 49/18.
-
• #7434
Really? Sheldon's gear calculator reckons 48x18 with a 23c is only 70.3".
-
• #7435
I used 48x18 on (I think) 21mm tubs, this rolled out at 18ft 4 1/4".
-
• #7436
That's why we went with the 25C last year. Not sure what algorithm Sheldon used, but just adding twice the tyre width to 622 to get the effective diameter is a common way to get an answer that is wrong.
-
• #7437
That should have come to 18'6" by my calculation, you might have wobbled a bit when rolling it out, or the tubs might be a bit thinner than their stated size.
-
• #7438
Weighted vs. non-weighted (no rider) tyre?
-
• #7439
Rollouts are done unweighted
-
• #7440
I don't actually know what width they are, perhaps 20s or 19s then!

Incredible scenes at the National 10, Hampton currently leading with 17:58
-
• #7442
Bottrill wins with 17:40 (Second fastest 10 ever), Mullen 17:42, Hutch 17:53, Russell Hampton 17:58, Andy Jackson 18:02.

Championship record. And Mullen, damn.

Anyone want a Kask K.31?

Size + price?
-
• #7446
They only do one size. It's one-size-fits-all. Inside it says 53cm-61cm
Price, I don't remember what it cost so whatever they go for on TTF/ebay.
Average sold price on ebay is £93.52 so £80? -

It's one-size-fits-most. Inside it says 53cm-61cm
ftfy
At 7⅝, I'm restricted to helmets which go up to at least 63cm. -
• #7448
I didn't write their marketing blurb.
I reckon it'd fit bigger than 61. I'm around 61 and it fits easily.

Racing fixed with a power meter has proved to be very interesting.

Do tell
Seeing as it beats my best MG time by 11 seconds I think that's an exceptional time :0)
