I'll definitely still use a pan when I'm at home, but for work, microwave is more than adequate.
And
@dicki and @Cazakstan, yeh, Dukes is great. They do a platter thing for about £22 which is the most absurd amount of meat you'll ever encounter, including a beef rib the size of a baby's leg.

Took me ages to get over my suspicion of microwaved eggs, but it's not too bad and better for washing up.
