It's ok. I think it's just because Stevia is popular at the minute.

Oi, who are you calling old?
Is it the one in the green instead of the usual colours? No idea as I only drink the diet/sugar free version if I drink any.

A third less calories and sugar but still a quarter of a child's daily recommended sugar allowance...

Only takes a few hours..... enough time to get the pulled pork going.
Well, this is what wet bank holidays are made for. Christ, those are good pickles!!

Are they just pickled with maple syrup, or is there more to bread and butter pickles?

I made pulled pork as well on Sunday. Good weekend for it. Served on the bau part of char siu bau with Asian-influenced coleslaw.

No maple syrup near mine. Cider vinegar, sugar, salt (on the veg) and aromatics. Lish.
The pork was a pig's cheek on the bone (more like half a head really), been winking at me from the freezer for long time. SOo good, tongue was a bit oinky even for my palette but the rest has a perfect meat/fat ratio. -

Have you tried boiled (think it was boiled as it was cooked but didn't look like it was dry cooked)then cooled pigs cheek with fresh lemon? It is lovely.

Re: CrayCray fishing... The Wandle looks like it may be a good spot, bit worried that Thames Water use it as a storm overflow during very wet weather but hey... Gonna send in my application for a crayfish trap license today and do a bit more research in the meantime... /thumbs up/

I'll have some time off tomorrow morning in London (will be there for work). I planned to go to Kinoko for their last day, and find a place to eat nearby for lunch. Something cheapish, was thinking dim sum on Wardour Street (I went to a green facade one last time that was good). Any other recommendation (not necessarily Asian food)? Thanks!

Right, scando's. What can I do with Brunost! A "gift" from a friend.
Gjetost (in Norway), Mysuostur (in Iceland), Mesost (in Sweden), and Myseost (in Denmark).

all other scandinavian food tastes like rotten fish. this is largely due to the fact that it consists largely of fish, that is a bit rotten.

Some of the IKEA crisp breads are great with it, also raclette cooked is awsome but neat wins for easiest way to consume.

Just done scrambled eggs in the microwave for the first time in my office.
Surprisingly not too shit, given I'm really fussy about scrambled eggs when done properly (slowly and with love, and must be pretty runny).
This is going to change my weekday eating habits forever.

Took me ages to get over my suspicion of microwaved eggs, but it's not too bad and better for washing up.
Don't worry about the old trolls, I haven't tried coke life, if you have what's the difference?
