This is true.

I'll see where the middle of the bar ends up.
If Syntace still made the Stratos 800, we could just swap in the base bar to get about 60mm more drop. Unfortunately, the existing clip-ons are 26mm, and 26mm base bars are few and far between these days.

Nice but pricey
He has just upgraded his hat to a Casco Speed Time, I don't think price will be an over-riding factor here :-)

That's a strong look... If money is no object then why not the TriRig Alpha?
In other news, Muc Off chain wax will give you 7watts for free

@umop3pisdn, because the ends don't turn up.

I've been meaning to ask: how do these "aero but not pointy" lids shape up?
From what little I can find, the idea is that although they aren't ultimately as aero as a pointy hat, they are more aero overall in actual use.
Can't find any tests etc to back this up though.

Kask is apparently best if you ride with your head down. Fine for Pros on closed roads, not so fine for UK testers. If you can't ride with a pointy hat properly, i.e. with it touching your back, then an egg shaped one is probably a good bet. All the fast UK guys who bought Bambinos in the initial stampede have moved back to pointy hats now.

Well done!

It's all rider specific, and sometimes condition specific too

Muc Off chain wax will give you 7watts for free
Not for free, unless they're sending bottles of it out on request to anybody who asks. And 7W compared with what? At ~450W, 7W is 1.5%, that's a lot to find in a roller chain drive which should be hitting 98% efficiency off nothing more than a short break-in.

• #7364
Shit. I just bought 50 bottles. More is better, right?

• #7365
Drink it?

Ultimate performance doesn't trouble the likes of me, I just wondered if they were another L-shaped crank/oval ring.

• #7367
But not available to the public?
-
• #7368
Hmm, I'd be very surprised if they don't. Why make such a fuss over it if they're not going to sell it?
-
• #7369
Read the article - they're going to make something based on it... Which will probably save 1w.

I'm not waxing my chain (not a euph).
I barely manage to clean the bloody things, let alone apply fresh lube.
This is bike doping

• #7371
I just use a new bike for every ride.

Where's the cheapest place to get a set of those Magura RT8 TT hydro brakes? I need two rear (ooh nurse) and Tredz has one for £241.98 so that's my benchmark.
UPD: £237 at Fatbirds http://www.fatbirds.co.uk/1187804/products/magura-rt8-tt-hydraulic-road-rim-brake-with-2m-cable-rear.aspx?origin=pla&kwd=¤cy=GBP&gclid=CKqik4WSs8ACFU7MtAodmmsAhQ

I stopped using bikes. I walk all my races now for 100% drivetrain efficiency.

Cheers but for the Shiv I need 2 x Rear. Not sure if CRC will be able to do that as it would break their 'set'.
Clean, but nothing like the adjustability of the Zipp, particularly if we need to put the elbow pads somewhere other than centrally over the base bar.
