The OPs are for smashing around in bad/english roads/weather, I think they make a 25 for those who can't fit a 27.
25 front, 27 back probably works out even pressure... but you won't be able to swap them when they wear.

They're for the geared Winter bike, I was just concerned about how they'd wear.
I think I'll give the 25mm a whirl, as it's a new build and I don't have mudguards yet, so not sure about clearance.
I see, Vittorias seem to come up quite big (most brands seem to, except Conti IME). I've not used the Paves for ages but I know lots of people who do. They put them on for winter.
