Garage food whilst riding

The scene: You're out of gels/bars/Soreen, you're in the middle of nowhere and you spot a garage. It sells the usual stuff, but it's not well-stocked like a Tesco Metro.

What do you buy?

Space Invaders and anti-freeze

one of these?

Lucozade Orange or Sport, usually. There's no 'food' in service stations.

Mars bars or snickers for that sugar rush. Or a Boost bar.

yeh or just a pasty.

Standard.

Ginsters (Pasty, Peppered Steak Slice, Chicken Tikka Slice, Sausage Roll)
Chicken & Bacon or Chicken & Stuffing sandwiches
Pastries (Croissants mainly - I love a Pain au Chocolate but oddly my body doesn't want sweet stuff on long rides, except...)
Ice lollies (Solero - etc)

All of the above has got me through the night on many an Audax. There's a bit on the Bryan Chapman 600 where (if you're near the back of the field like me) you'll see nigh on fuck all open between Kings YH (Dolgellau) and Menai and back. 75km each way through the night. Never hurts to have some Ginsters in the saddlebag.

Chilli Doritos and a litre of diesel

monster...any flavour

Choc-coated peanuts and an extra bottle of water to wash them down.

Never Ginsters.

duns river nourishment, monster ripper(aka the enemy killer), Mr.Tom bars, Tyskie, microwave jelly cubes(eaten out of the packet) and instant coffee for snorting.

If they have Starbars then a Starbar. Dr. Pepper. Pepparami.

For some reason the chocolate Nourishment has some special recipe that makes it ten times nicer than the tinned one. It's fucking crack.
