There's no harm in losing to the champions.
I reckon Liverpool will finish in the top 4 again. City/Chelsea for top 2 and the fight for the remaining 2 CL slots is going to be interesting this year.
Derby coming good this year? With Fulham's consistency continuing from where they finished last season and Leicester promoted you must be aiming for automatic promotion?

The fee for Di Maria looks very heavy.

if they get blind di maria and vidal their net spend this summer is going to be ........ REALLY heavy

Their wage bill must be going through the roof as well.

I still like the look of the table.
I'm going to ignore the zero shots on target vs Newcastle for now.

Hopefully. We've had a so-so start thus far. Trying to play all three of Hughes, Hendrick and Bryson in the middle, when we really need a defensive midfielder in with two of them. That's what we did against Fulham and it worked a treat.
Omar from Real Madrid has looked ok when he's come on to play the defensive role too, but I can't wait for Thorne to come back from his injury really.
We've just signed Shotton from Stoke. Not sure what to make of it, hopefully he's here to prove that he still has the promise he showed when he broke through into Stoke's first team. Good competition for our defenders though.

Yeah, I thought I was following up what you said with a quote from him which backed up your point, but I was probably just blithering. I didn't see the head-tapping though, how vicious was it?

Was listening to the Times podcast on my way to work this morning and they pointed out that di Maria was offered to PSG for €55m a month ago (that's EUROS - £43m), and they said they couldn't afford that price.
Also mentioned that there is a £10m bonus for di Maria ON TOP of whatever the eventual fee to Man U ends up being.
Just bananas. There isn't even an obvious place for him to play without dropping Rooney (no bad thing) or Mata. -

You'll all be eating humble pie in May.

Lampard has retired from international football.
Well that is a surprise. Suspect he will not be featuring very often if at all for Citeh.
-
• #109788
There is if they play 4-3-3 where Di Maria is equally brilliant in centre midfield or left sided inverted inside out winger. That raises two issues: Captain Wayne may well be nonplussed at that prospect / the defence is still dogshit

So what is United's best XI with Di Maria?
-
• #109790
--------DDG
Jones Evans Rojo Shaw
----Herrera Fletcher
Mata Rooney Di Maria
----------Rvp -
• #109791
It probably still includes Smalling, Phil Jones or Jonny Evans
-
• #109792
De Gaea in goal.
3 training cones
mata, rvp, di maria, 2 training cones
wait. -

I think Blind will be coming in because of his versatility in either of 3 positions and I think United will sign Vidal.

@Tenderloin I agree they are better with 12 players, but Howard Webb has retired.
-
• #109795
One of the unintended side effects of the Di Maria transfer is could be to lift the pressure on Torres and he goes onto score the 200 goals a season as he's always been capable of had José tried to play attacking footie.
Maybe not.
