Thanks for the 'productive' R&D guys, the head says go with steel so it will save me the heartache of the 'cracking' scenario again, but my heart wants carbon for the short term fun.
From all the ones above actually liking the BMC but the TR01 instead the 02 but I heard from people at evans cycles that apparently there are some structural issues with the seat and chain stay...hmmm

Eh? The crack isn't a problem caused by Ho, it's a design flaw in the Canyone frames. He needs a strong track specific frame that he can race on without it failing him after a matter of months, not a steel hipster sled.

all keirin frames are steel frames and non of them was cracked.
i do not think that a crack will mainly based on the material, more on the design/geometry/frame triangle construction
