Good first half of football. You have to say Liverpool had much the better of the first half but lacked in true cutting edge in their final 3rd. Their goal came against the run of play though there was an overload on our left that they seemed slow to react to, eventually leading to the goal. I hope we don't run out of steam as (again) we've more than equalled citeh in all departments at the Etihad.

All three City goals came down the left, which you could read as Lovren and Moreno needing time to develop understanding, or you could read as they are no improvement on what we had last season.

the injuries are less severe now as we have a deeper squad, jonners is no real loss with manquillo there now, skrtel can be replaced by sahko

Brendan needs to be brave and be able to drop Gerrard. Against weaker opposition where we have a little more possession, fine but not when you've got world class players with legs all around you.
