For my first wheel build I bought this. http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/rose-truing-stand/aid:553818
And it was a waste of money. I have since bought the minoura stand and it is significantly better. It may not be park tool level but I think it is plenty good for a couple of wheel sets a year.
Thinking of building my first wheelset, I have a couple of questions.
I know sheldon says you can build a wheel on the bike, but I honestly think I will build quite a few wheelsets going forward, how much better would something like this be:

Also, first set will be for my brakeless fixed town beater thing. I am thinking of using On-one track hubs but not sure what rims. As I don't run a brake I'd like something lightish, but plenty strong for thrashing about, and cheap is most important. What are the options?
