Need help identifying before doing too much!

Hi there,

I have a bike that I've started stripping down and cleaning but before I get it resprayed, I'm trying to find out what make/model/year etc. it is.

Sorry can't help much but that lugging!

thats a very distinctive headtube badge... i did a quick google search but nothing popped up
someone who knows that badge should be able to give you the framebuilder
it seems like a united kingdom builder as it has a rose a thistle a shamrock and a leek ? emblems of the 4 nations ?

If it wasn't you, then have a trawl over there: can't remember if it was ever resolved, but it was definitely that badge.

I did a reverse Google image search on the headtube badge, which returned pictures of people dressed up as animals. Maybe if you crop in tighter...

I've searched a load of frame builders and haven't come up with anything!

Just tried it - just got a back a load of weird cartoon stuff :/

i never new 'the leek' was the national emblem for wales.
i guess that makes polands the pickled gherkin.

If you need some period bits for this, I've just taken 50s/60s campy record stuff (mech, post, headset, shifter) and some other bits off a crashed frame.

You are going for period... Right?
